Thanks to Walgreens for underwriting this post. I was paid as a member of the Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all mine. Visit http://www.discoverbeautywithin.com/.
Remember how I told you all about the awesome Walgreens App for iPhone and Android? Well, right after that, I was asked by a cool social media network I belong to, Clever Girls Collective, to review a beauty item from Walgreens. Perfect timing for many reasons.
1. I had just become infatuated with my cool new app, especially the red laser scanner feature.
2. I was in serious need of new mascara because
3. RockStarHubbby had me signed up for 4 events in a row this past week! No time like the present to get your beauty product on!
Conveniently, the Walgreens app is still on my phone, and using my savvy red laser scanner, I searched for the the mascara I use for evening. The scanner feature was not able to locate the brand I use and was out of, but did pull up some recommendations, like the Maybeline onebbyone. I’m always up to try out a new mascara, and had some running around to do, so figured instead of having the items shipped directly to my house, I would just run to the closest Walgreen store.
I don’t claim to be a make-up artist by any means, but my eye make-up application is pretty acceptable. I like to do the cat-eye look lately, not as dramatic as Mad Men, but enough to bring attention to them. I also love the look of long, luscious lashes, and usually have the make-up artist apply false lashes when I have the luxury to have my make-up done prior to an event. Unfortunately, this time, I didn’t, and had to work some magic on my own. I love to try new mascara, specifically ones that claim it will give me that false eyelash kind of a look.
After carefully applying my kitten eye shadow and liner, it was time for the finishing touch..the mascara. Love, love, love the brush on this new one. It lengthened and thickened without clumping. I achieved the dramatic look I was going for, and there was no smudging all night long. Washed off like a breeze, too. I was one happy mama!
Check out Walgreens on-line, app or in-store for some of their great drug-store beauty finds to prep for Spring’s Busy Events!

You have FABULOUS eyebrows my friend.
I need to try this mascara. I am a makeup snob, but when it comes to mascara I only buy from the drugstore since I’m constantly throwing it out because I’m scared of germs that can cause eye funk.
